“BRING IT ON… Pt. 2

by chinwhat at 7:57 p.m.
It just hit me: I now know why Christmas day really isn’t all that big to me anymore. TeamID’s Kris Kringle! Al had it right when he said it’s the Super Bowl © of punkage. This year, we’re mixing it up and I, cannot wait!

“I was just frontin’” © Pharrell Williams

by chinwhat at 6:30 p.m.
Monday night, after hours of shopping I headed off to Dixie Park for some nourishment with the cousins. Here, my cousin James asks if I wanted to go bowling with them later on that evening. Feeling really tired and antisocial, I wanted to sell out. And so began the peer pressure to go because “all the cousins are going.” “Geez Kuya, a few years ago, you would never come out with us and we didn’t really know you. Now you’re coming out with us once in a while, but today you’re not?” FINE! So we head up to some bowling place in Brampton and my first two observations were 1) there are a lot of younger folks here and 2) there are a lot of browns as well. With the power of deduction, I realize it must be due to the fact that games on Monday night are $1 each. Anyways, long story short I destroyed all my cousins. It was like I was that guy in that movie Kingpin (except not). STRIKE! As we left, my sister asked if I had a good time. I said “meh, it was alright…” but actually, I had a pretty good time. Who knew bowling could be fun?

Forgot to mention that while we were waiting for our lane, I played a couple of games of Dance Dance Revolution (six songs). All you need to know is my cousins kept punking me because I was sweating. “For the 35th time, no, I do not want a drink!” Oh punk!

Oh Punk!

by chinwhat at 1:15 a.m.
For some strange fucking reason, I wake up this morning at 8:00am even though I slept relatively late last night. Saw the last showing of Rumor Has It at AMC. What? You’ve never seen a chick flick before? Btw, this is the most boringest movie I can remember. “Why isn’t anything fucking happening? Stupid lady from ‘Friends!’ You’re cheating on your fiancé? Your bitch ass is lucky he’s taking your dumb ass back! I’d kick your ass out!!” Anyways, since today is national shopping day, I decide to hit Square one. Get there at 8:30 and find the parking lot pretty full! “Gatdamn, son!” Went looking for a movie I’ve been trying to get cheap for the last few years. HMV had a pretty decent sale so I thought I’d pick it up there. Only problem is that they didn’t have it. Oh Punk! Later on this morning, I went with the cousins to 747 flea market up in Brampton. It wasn’t bad. Copped some dress socks for work. Note to console game owners: their games are MAD cheap. Note to Al: they have mad black clothing for cheap. Note to self: buy soca cds here from now on.

This holiday season is going pretty good so far. Haven’t shaved since Friday and don’t plan on doing so until next Tuesday morning. Haven’t cut my hair neither! I wish I could pull of that Tim Dunkan disheveled look. So yeah, this holiday’s been so good I thought today was Sunday, aka change my VGM team day. Since I missed the deadline and forgot, Shaun and Chris had this discussion re: the probability of me moving out of the cellar this week:

Shaun: (Detroit)/(San Antonio) both play 3 games each
S: not unreasonable
Chris: it'll be hard, he has all detroit san antonio
Chris: if his players do 20 pts a game, thats 60 per player times 5 is 300
C: if his players to 30 pts a game, then it'll be 450
C: i dont think he can do better than that
S: op
S: still
S: that's better than he nornamlly does!
S: lol
C: hahah op!

Oh Punk! Fuck yalls too! "It's a long season" (c) Me, 2005/6 VGM season. Laugh!

"BRING IT ON...

by chinwhat at 10:10 a.m.
... bring it on. Bring it on motha fucka, bring it on!!" © Organized Konfusion. TBS’ marathon of A Christmas Story? Can you say “NOT A FINGA!”

Anyways, here’s my top three Christmas songs in no particular order:

1. Mariah Carrey – All I Want For Christmas
2. Nat King Cole – The Christmas Song
3. Wham!/George Michael – Last Christmas

Anyways, hope everyone has a happy Christmas. Here’s my favorite TeamID Christmas photo (me jumping in the way of everyone posing. Hahaha!)

To Punk Is To Love

by chinwhat at 8:56 p.m.
Thanks for everyone’s birthday wishes! Really appreciate it! I enjoys the birthdays, they allow a day of arrogance without fear of retribution. Who doesn’t like them? >looks at ol’ man Jon’s direction<

The co-workers took me and my other co-worker out for lunch to Tucker’s Marketplace. It was alright, but one thing caught my eye: one of my co workers’ lunch bill came out to $19 plus change. When it was time to pay, everyone paid their own separate bills >ahem< and he laid down a twenty. The waiter took it and returned the receipt with a nickel. As we loitered there for a bit, I noticed a) my co-worker not adding anything to that nickel and b) the waiter eyeing said nickel. We got up to leave and I began to feel embarrassed. But not just any embarrassed… Shaun embarrassed. Now I know how he feels… kinda… Luckily for me (and not for our waiter) my indifference let me just walk on out. Sorry dog.

Yesterday, I also noticed people wishing me a Happy Birthday by saying “Many Happy Returns.” They were both brown… I didn’t get it. I’ve never been told that before. Is it a brown thing?

Rubes, thanks for the wine. I think Dr.T drank the one you gave me last year during our TeamID Christmas dinner. I also think Dr.T will do the same this year.

And a big thanks to TeamID for the punkage. Good show >golf clap< I wouldn’t want it any other way! I’m hanging this piece by my 4 poster!!

#6

Selma Hayek
If you’re not a believer, I offer these two pieces of evidence that she belongs in everyone’s top 10:

#1 – Desperado
#2 – Scene with the snake in From Dusk Til Dawn

And her placement is cemented with her next feature film: lesbo cowboy movie with P.Cruz.

The Etiquette of Christmas??

by chinwhat at 9:36 p.m.
Because of my position at work, I haven’t been this popular since grade eight! As such, I expect more of the following to happen (yes, I realize what happens with expectations): Today, our company’s secretary rolled by and dropped off a nice red tin tied with a nice red bow with a nice Christmas card. I open it up and… I don’t know, the best way I could describe it was: a breeze of thick caramel air just wafted towards my face. I open it up and find a whole supply of home baked goodies (shits good, god!). Now what’s a brother to do??? So far, I’ve never worked at a company where I felt I had to give stuff to anyone a general token of appreciation. I mean, who really expects a broke ass (sexual chocolate) co-op student to spend his nickels and dimes on candy canes? Sure, I could say I’m on contract (and actually making less now than I did at my last co-op job. Yes, pathetic, I know) but that’s not to fly for a brownish guy. I guess I really should get my black cake on? Or should I go out and by mini Chirstmas cards a la Valentine's Day cards in grade four? Should I break out the real sized cards? Actually get gifts for folks??? "Hmmmmmmm...." (c) Arsenio Hall.

Goodbye & Hello

by chinwhat at 1:49 p.m.
Goodbye www.ohpunk.com
Hello ohpunk.blogspot.com

To bad cuz ohpunk.com was pretty fun. The message board + random commentary. But hey, at least I get to read some new stuff (looks at Cathy, Jon, Ruby & The Natty's direction)... even it'll only be for a few weeks until Shuan grows tired of it and leaves it to hang like all his other projects (truth or fake, son. Truth or fake?)

And as an aside, ever notice how Shaun has this weird star fetish? Check out the two ohpunk links. All his logos have stars in it. What the fuck's up with that? I think it gets deeper than his "I'm a star" proclamation.

Stepped outside the front door and noticed the snow on the car. Nice fluffy snow. Then noticed the brilliant sunrise. What a way to start a beautiful day.

Come Strong!

by chinwhat at 9:08 p.m.
I received a lead on one of the pot lucks at work for another department. After taking a look at the sign up sheet, I have to say that I’m hating on the party staple: frozen shrimp ring. No really, what is this? At least with pasta salad, the person who brought it had to (in theory) make it! This is just defrost and serve. Thanks. Watery, limp, flavorless half frozen pieces of flesh witch ketchup. What could be crappier?

This is why I ♥ TNT’s basketball coverage. On NBA.com’s page, they have a link to a stream of some TNT features. On Monday, EJ, Jet and Sir Charles were talking about this year’s crop of rookies.

Charles: (Charlie Villanueva) is actually been the third best rookie I think. After (Chris) Paul and (Channing) Frye.
Smith: I might go with (Andrew) Bogut.
EJ: Deron Williams?
Charles (to Jet): We can disagree. I mean, we both think you’re ugly. We agree to that.
EJ: There you go.
Jet (confused, to Charles): We agree you’re ugly?
Charles (to Jet): No, we agree that you’re ugly.
Jet: I’d rather be smart than beautiful.
Charles: Well, you oh for two. (laughter)
EJ (signing off): That’s TNT Overtime on NBA.com and uh… (laughs)
Jet: I set myself up for that one… (sips from mug)

Beautiful. Simply, beautiful!

“He’s Hilarious” © D.Chappelle’s ‘son’

by chinwhat at 9:27 a.m.
I was getting ready to head out to The Valleys yesterday and decided to look outside to see how much (if any) snow has fallen. Glanced at RSXNation and replied: “WTF?” What I saw was this:

Such punkage!

Went to SquareOne with Summer on Saturday. She had a bunch of stuff to return to some stores. I met her younger sister as well. She too, had to return something. This reminded me of Ruby’s rep for returning things she’s purchased. So is this a common thing amongst browns?

And speaking of Ruby: (said in Mel Gibson ferocity) “GIVE ME BACK MY TAPES!!!” Since you haven’t watched them (and probably never will, op!) I demand my PulpFiction, but most importantly, my Richard Pryor tapes back! I DEMAND IT!!!

Chin On Film Trailers

by chinwhat at 7:57 p.m.
I can’t help but laugh whenever I hear Ziyi Zhang in Memoirs of a Geisha. It was an alright book and all, but i only hear her “Sum appuh?” line from Rush Hour 2 and that's just too funny!

Althought The Break-Up looks iffy, Vince Vaughn always looks good. “You shut your mouth when you’re talking to me!”

I thought Prime could be about Optimus Prime. What was I thinking?!? I didn't bother watching the trailer, so I'll just assume it's about Ms. Wallace killing ninjas or something.

The fanboy in me is excited for X-Men 3. Angel? Beast? GenX? Dark Phoenix? Sold! Superman looks mad nice too! V For Vandetta looks good. Can’t hate on N.Portman! I anticipate much hate from Jon on this one.

Eff skating! Let’s go see, Brokeback Mountain! >looks dreamily into ai’s eyes< What do you say “partner?” Get it? “Partner?” Cowboy? Homosexual? Laugh!

Dress To Live

by chinwhat at 9:34 p.m.

On some sweetheart shit: I personally enjoy that Docker’s commercial. Ya’lls know the one! Two trolleys traveling in opposite direction stop by each other. Dude in one train sees PYT in the other. Change glances and smiles. He breaks out of his seat and races to the other trolley hoping to get in – only to get denied. The trains leaves, but who’s standing on the other side of the tracks? That’s right! That girl he was eyeing. Ain’t that something sweet? What you don’t like this? Haters move your stankin asses to the fucking back!

… and if you ducks don’t like that Pretty Tone Shit, then you’ll like this Mr. Toughy commercial.

“Make money mone, go shopping” © Mash Out Posse

by chinwhat at 8:49 p.m.
Oh dear. This time of year is the worst for my credit and debit card. I just got back from my favorite sale of all time: the Point Zero sample sale. They have this lovely sale twice a year and I never leave empty handed. Although I dropped a mere $70 – my lowest since going – I still came out with some pretty nice gear. Anyways, here are some more sales I hope to hit this weekend:

Triple Five Soul – Friday and Saturday at The Sound Emporium
Club Monaco – 30% off with this coupon.
Guess – friends and la familia sale.
Foot Locker – friends and family sale.
(I think I’ll pick up a pair of black and pink Uptowns… )

Anyone wanna come with? I’ll need someone to hold my bags as well as critique the clothes while I model them…
