Rastafest @ Harbourfront Centre

Rrraah! Rrraah! Rrraah!

Local reggae artists Lindo P opened up the free show followed by Juno winner Blessed. Both are pretty funny, entertaining and quite scary to all the old white people around us. Blessed performed all his hits, a little freestyle and even a Big Tune which got the crowd grooving and singing along.

Up next was the legendary Tony Rebel. When he performed, he made me wish that I grew up in a different place. Like Jamaica. Why? Because all the Jamaican’s were singing and dancing along with him. Everyone was having a blast – yup, even the old white people! Sure, I caught them dosing off in the beginning like they were Alison at a Jill Scott concert, but by the end, they were having a great time too!

Easily, best concert I’ve seen so far this year!
