failure

by chinwhat at 9:23 p.m.

I was pleasantly surprised with my result for the 8k race this year. I made my best time ever, even though I wasn't expecting to.

My lungs were good. My muscles were fine. My right knee, which I initially tweaked during my 2K4HalfMarathon, acted up a little, but nothing major...

...until this past Sunday which was the fourth time i ran the YongeStreet10K. The pain started to nibble around the 2K mark, but became unbearable at the 4K.

I was really disappointed that i had to stop and let Chris down. We've never stopped before because had the "i'll stop if you stop" and "you'll stop if i stop" deal.

Fortunately, he gave me a pep talk: "its a hardware problem" which means i can get it fixed. Right? Right???

I'd better because there's the GreatNeighbourhoodRace on July 20 and the Nike10K on August 31st.
